That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. - Ephesians 1:12 It should almost seem natural for you to want to serve God and to serve your fellow man in the name of Christ. The scripture should have such an impact in your life that it will be obvious to others that you truly are different, a man or a woman of God. This is living a life that will glorify God, and this is your purpose in this world.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. - Galatians 5:17 There will, at times, be a struggle to serve God. The old man, (your human nature or the flesh), will not want you to obey God.
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; - Colossians 4:2 You must continue to live a life bathed in prayer. Watch and see what marvelous things God will do in and through you as you study His word.
