The most important thing to remember about growing up in Christ is our relationship with Jesus. The Bible says that He is God and He comes to live in our heart to be with us forever. He wants us to get to know Him. Most of us as children have a special and close relationship with our parents, or with someone who loves us special.
The way we get to know someone real good is to spend a lot of time with them. That way we get to know what they like to do and what they think about different things. We get to know Jesus the same way, by spending time with Him, and by realizing that He is always with us and will never leave us.
We can imagine Jesus sitting in the chair next to us, or walking with us holding our hand. We can talk to Him like a friend and we can listen to Him too. We listen to Jesus by learning what the Bible says and by God speaking to our hearts in a way that can't be explained.
Always remember that you are very special to Jesus and He loves you just the way you are. Spend a lot of time with Him, and get to know Him real good.
