The Gospels, the first four books in the New Testament, are basically historical documents that reveal the birth, life, miracles, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. They demonstrate the culmination of God's love on the cross. Each of the four Gospels was written from a different perspective.
The Gospel of Matthew presents Jesus as the perfect King, Mark presents Him as the perfect servant, Luke presents Him as the perfect man and John presents Him as the perfect God.
Each of the four Gospels are true and without error. They cover the same period of history but may address different issues. Together, they reveal, the Lord Jesus Christ, (God the Son), and the wonderful things that He has done for others and for us.
